Movoto Raises the Bar for How Brokerages Do Business

Movoto Real Estate continues its California invasion with its new Los Angeles click-and-mortar brokerage headed by one of California’s more accomplished brokers, Alexandra Tieu. Tieu came to Movoto following her previous position as team lead and operating partner for Keller Williams in downtown Los Angeles and Glendale. As Movoto’s Head Area Broker for Los Angeles, Tieu will spearhead the strategic direction of Movoto’s newest brokerage.

“I really believe Movoto is changing how brokerages should be supporting agents and their businesses,” says Tieu, a 14-year real estate veteran who has overseen more than $850 million in real estate sales. “Most traditional brokerages give you a split—sometimes it’s nice, sometimes it isn’t—and a pep talk. After that, it’s just ‘Get out there, go do your business!’”

Movoto doesn’t just give its agents a pat on the back and a hustle out the door to make sales. Not without some actual, tangible support first. Movoto, with its high-powered technology, attracts over 100 million visitors and producing two qualified leads per minute. Tools like the Movoto App, the state-of-the-art client tracking portal, and the full support staff are assisting agents in helping close with their clients at a higher level.

“Not only does Movoto provide agents with leads they don’t have to pay for and give them great splits, we also help market and help co-brand our agents,” says Tieu.

“Movoto gets that agents are entrepreneurs. We’re here to support that entrepreneurial spirit and raise the bar for all brokerages across the board. That’s what sets us apart,” says Tieu.

Aside from her accomplishments in real estate, Tieu helped found the “I am Asian American” campaign that successfully registered over 15,000 new Asian American voters in the 2016 election and also chaired the Filipino Children’s Foundation, a California nonprofit organization that helps provide financial assistance to impoverished Filipino children.
