Former execs at RealPage, Remine join eXp’s C-Suite

Shoeb Ansari and Leo Pareja have joined the cloud-based brokerage

eXp World Holdings, the holding company for eXp Realty, made two appointments to its C-Suite this week, naming Shoeb Ansari as chief information officer and Leo Pareja as president of affiliated services.

Ansari will lead software engineering, product management, information technology, product launch, project management, data services and innovation for eXp World Holdings, according to a company news release. Before joining eXp, Ansari was chief technology officer for property management tech startup RealPage, which was acquired by private equity investment firm Thoma Bravo for $10.2 billion in 2020.

“Shoeb and Leo are outstanding leaders who will be critical to eXp’s next phase of growth as we build on our foundation as a cloud-based company that was designed for any market,” Jeff Whiteside, eXp’s CFO, said in a statement.

As president of affiliated services, Pareja will oversee all eXp Realty products and services such as mortgage, title, escrow and lead-generation platforms. He brings 20 years of real estate experience and has been recognized as a top real estate agent in RealTrends’ 1000 ranking. Before joining eXp, Pareja was a co-founder and executive at MLS technology vendor Remine. The company was bought by a consortium of MLSs in 2021 after courting controversy for a toxic workplace and “bro” culture. The sale prompted an investor lawsuit.

On his LinkedIn page, Pareja said he was at one time Keller Williams‘ No. 1 agent in the world; a 2017 HousingWire article said he accomplished that feat before his 28th birthday. It also states he transacted close to 4,000 homes, representing around $750 million in transactional volume during his 15 years as an agent.
