Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate is expanding its footprint in California. The brokerage welcomed its 29th BHGRE firm in California on Monday with the affiliation of Westlake Village- based Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate McQueen.
The newly rebranded BHGRE McQueen was established in 2001 and incorporated in 2003, and is owned and operated by Thomas and Mary McQueen. The brokerage currently serves Westlake Village, Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, Moorpark, Simi Valley, Camarillo, Oxnard, Ventura, Calabasas, Agoura Hills and Malibu.
“Mary and Thomas are a dynamic and experienced duo with deep roots in sales and service excellence,” Sherry Chris, the president and CEO of BHGRE, said in a statement. “They are strongly committed to maintaining their boutique approach while creating growth opportunities for their agents.”
Mary McQueen started her career in real estate in 2001 and has co-owned service industry businesses in the restaurant, hotel and car sectors with her husband Thomas, before he obtained his broker’s license. At BHGRE McQueen, Mary will continue to focus on the sales effort with her real estate partner Sally Krebhiel, while Thomas will continue to manage the brokerage’s operations.
The McQueens say that they are looking to grow the brokerage, especially in Calabasas and Moorpark, by recruiting new agents and leveraging the learning and professional development programs offer by BHGRE professional development program, Be Better University.
“With 20 years of service to our community, we pride ourselves on offering a boutique approach where we exceed expectations, serve as solution providers, and remain focused on the client rather than the transaction,” Thomas McQueen said in statement. “We are now equipped with a powerful and trusted lifestyle brand and a host of digital content and assets that align with today’s connected consumer, as well as the ability to offer company-generated leads.”
Located in the Conejo Valley, just an hour drive from Los Angeles and 11 miles from the Pacific Coast, the median sales price for a home in Westlake Village is $1.2 million according to Realtor.com.
Earlier this year BHGRE launched its first South Dakota affiliate.
