@properties is getting a new brand — one that includes Christie’s International Real Estate to its company-owned brokerages’ names.

Following its acquisition of Christie’s International Real Estate in December 2021, independent real estate brokerage @properties has rebranded to @properties Christie’s International Real Estate.

The new name applies to the firm’s 44 company-owned offices in the greater Chicagoland area, Northwest Indiana, Southwest Michigan, and Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.

According to a statement from @properties, “Our franchises may add Christie’s International Real Estate affiliation in the future. There are no current plans to change the name and branding of the 900+ Christie’s affiliate offices around the world.”

“When we established @properties in 2000, the name positioned us as a forward-thinking company and helped to differentiate us from the old-line brokerage firms in the market.,” said Thad Wong, co-founder and co-CEO.

@properties ranks 8th on the RealTrends 500, a third-party verified and self-reported list of top brokerages nationally by sales volume with $16.4 billion in 2020 from 32,359 transaction sides.

The brokerage was founded 2000 by Wong and Mike Golden, who remain the companies’ co-CEOs. In 2018, the firm, announced that Quad-C, a Charlottesville, Virginia private equity firm was investing in the company, and that @properties would start a franchise network.
