eXp welcomes another top-producing mega team

The Keri Shull team joins eXp after eight years as a 'teamerage'

Just a week after announcing the addition of top Tampa-based broker-owner Kendall Bonner, eXp Realty has welcomed yet another top-producing team to the firm. On Thursday, eXp announced that it was welcoming Washington, D.C.-based broker Keri Shull and her mega team of over 40 agents to the firm.

Shull and her team, who serve clients in D.C., Maryland and Virginia, are making the jump to the Glenn Sanford-helmed firm after spending eight years as an independent “teamerage.” Prior to going at it alone, Shull had hung her license at RE/MAX and Keller Williams.

“We are looking at shifting markets where the real estate industry is changing, and these larger teams and independent brokerage are running on thin margins, so when there are some interruptions in the marketplace, and perhaps there are less transactions, the idea of an eXp makes incredible sense to them,” Michael Valdes, the chief growth officer at eXp, said.

“They come on to this large global platform and they start looking at their operative expenses, and a lot of these things are no longer their personal responsibility, but they keep their integrity and continue to build their own brand and culture within their team. It becomes a very compelling argument.”

In addition to bolstering eXp’s agent count, Shull and her team will certainly aid eXp’s bottom line. Her team was the No. 2-ranked mega (over 21 agents) team in Virginia in the 2022 RealTrend’s America’s Best rankings after recording 1,096 transaction sides — for a total of $725.029 million in sales volume in 2021.

In 2022, eXp Realty closed the most transaction sides of an brokerage in the country, ranking first by transaction sides in the soon-to-be-announced 2023 RealTrends 500 rankings.
