Howard Hanna expands its footprint into Long Island

The new firm will be called Howard Hanna | Coach Realtors

Family-owned brokerage Howard Hanna Real Estate Services (HHRES) is expanding into Long Island, New York. The firm announced Wednesday that is partnering with Northport, New York-based firm Coach Realtors to form Howard Hanna | Coach Realtors.

“Over the last seven years, HHRES has grown its presence throughout New York and is now the largest real estate firm in the state by units sold,” Hobby Hanna HHRES’ president wrote in an email. “The merger will further strengthen HHRES’s position in the New York market.”

Coach Realtors has 20 offices throughout Long Island from Mount Sinai to Hewlett. As part of the partnership, Coach Realtors will retain its current leadership team, with Whitney Finn LaCosta becoming the CEO of of Howard Hanna | Coach Realtors and LP Finn will serve as operating officer.

“The two family-owned companies have long led the real estate industries in their respective markets and saw the partnership as a unique opportunity for growth,” Howard Hanna | Coach Realtors posted on its website. “Aligned in strong values built around their agents, buyers and sellers, the merger unites the best of both companies.”
