Century 21 Debuts Podcast for Sales Professionals

Century 21 Debuts Podcast for Sales Professionals

‘The Relentless’ will highlight trailblazers in sales, business and other related fields.

The Relentless Dr. Julie Gurner, a thought leader in personal development, will host Century 21’s new podcast, “The Relentless.”

What do pianos and homes have in common? Perhaps not a lot, but both are bought and sold through the efforts of a salesperson. In Century 21’s new podcast, “The Relentless,” which debuted May 1, host Dr. Julie Gurner, Psy.D, interviews Erica Feidner, known as “the Piano Matchmaker.” The parallels between pianos and home sales might, ahem, strike a chord (pun intended) with real estate professionals.

“It’s about connecting with people, helping them understand what their actual needs are, and see how I can help them with that,” Feidner tells Gurner, later confiding, “there’s a common thread through every aspect of sales, and that common thread is—every sale is unique.”

Feidner would know, having sold more than $86 million in pianos, despite little volume driven by repeat purchase. She has matched over 1,000 pianos with families, concert pianists, celebrities, and socialites throughout the country.

In the introduction to the podcast series, Gurner explains that the podcast is “about looking at sales differently.”

“In every episode, we’re pulling back the curtain with thought leaders across industries and talking about how they embrace change, overcome hurdles and stay relentless.”

The series of 12 episodes, released monthly, will share stories from influential entrepreneurs who have achieved unparalleled success in their fields. Gurner, a thought leader in personal development and specialist on how exceptional people reach success, will spotlight an expert salesperson in their respective industry who can provide insights and inspiration for others to do the same.

Century 21’s new CEO and president, Mike Miedler, says Gurner was selected after a search process that included luminaries within real estate as well as outside of the industry.

“Our goal for the podcast is to create a platform to learn from and celebrate the inspiring trailblazers in sales, business and other related fields who embody the same unwavering passion that so many of our Century 21 System members possess,” says Miedler. “The fundamental question we’ll answer with this podcast is, ‘What makes a salesperson great?’ We’ll take it one step further, as Dr. Gurner seeks to uncover what separates the top 1 percent from the top 10 percent and how our listeners can apply those learnings to their own careers.”

It’s no accident that the podcast will echo words from Century 21’s mission statement for its sales force: “to defy mediocrity and deliver extraordinary experiences.”

“The Relentless” will not only foster conversations that benefit real estate agents, says Miedler, but ultimately conversations that transcend the industry. “Ultimately, we are looking for the most relentless, both inclusive of affiliates in our network and those external influential leaders making a difference in the business world.”

“The Relentless” will be available through popular podcast platforms including iTunes, Stitcher, TuneIn, and Spotify.
