Ashley Bowers is the president of HomeSmart International. She is also a panelist at Gathering of Eagles 2023. During DealMakers, Bowers will share her M&A expertise on the “Prospecting: How to find and develop M&A candidates,” panel.
Below, Bowers gives us an inside look into some of the details her panel will cover at DealMakers.
RealTrends: Why are you excited to speak at Gathering of Eagles 2023?
Ashley Bowers: GOE is one of the premier real estate events of the year. It’s certainly an honor to be asked to speak. I love events where we set competition aside and truly help each other based on our individual experiences. This is what I am looking to accomplish as a speaker.
RT: What is the benefit of attending conferences? And, how do you typically make the most of your conference experience?
AB: As I mentioned, setting aside the competitive spirit we all have and collaborating as leaders is the true value of these gatherings. It’s also a time to recharge and focus on leadership principles.
RT: You’re speaking at DealMakers, “Prospecting: How to find and develop M&A candidates.” Based on your own experiences, what are some of your M&A best practices?
AB: Patience, no joke. Amazing combinations take time and strong relationships. It’s important for both teams to get to know each other and to be able to work together to achieve great success for the agents. This leads to great results for all involved.
RT: What is the one takeaway that you hope attendees learn about prospecting M&A candidates?
AB: Be genuine in building relationships with leaders you hope to acquire one day. Help them build their business by sharing and collaborating. This can make a difference between the owner selecting you or your competitor.
