The Agency expands to Ottawa and Naples

New locations are brokerage’s 29th and 30th franchisees

Global luxury real estate brokerage The Agency announced the opening of its 29th and 30th franchises last week, with new offices opening in Ottawa and Naples, Florida.

Of the Naples launch, The Agency CEO and founder Mauricio Umansky said in a statement: “South Florida is an incredibly important region for The Agency as we continue to expand our footprint throughout the state with the launch of our new franchise in Naples.”

Jim Ramsay, the executive vice president of franchise sales at The Agency, sounded equally as optimistic in discussing the Ottawa launch. “Our new franchise in Ottawa is a true testament to the supreme interest and demand we’re experiencing throughout Canada for a brand like The Agency,” he said in a statement.

In addition to offices located throughout the U.S., the Caribbean, Mexico and Europe, The Agency currently has several franchises throughout Canada including in Toronto, Montreal, Victoria, Oakville, Calgary, Kitchener, Cowichan, and Vancouver.

In the past year, the California-based brokerage has rapidly expanded its footprint, opening new franchises in Downtown Toronto, Canada; New Canaan, Connecticut; Montreal, Canada; North Shore-New York; Calgary, Canada; Vancouver, Canada; Boston, Massachusetts; Maui, Hawaii; Las Vegas, Nevada; and Denver, Colorado, in addition to new corporate office locations in Studio City and Pacific Palisades, California.

The Naples franchise will be led by managing partners Chris and Kara Resop, LeAnne Thrasher-Chang, Glenn Shimkus, Shantel Shimkus, and The Agency co-founder Blair Chang.

“With The Agency expanding its presence to the already booming Naples market, I am excited to see the region spotlighted as a top Florida destination,” Shantel Shimkus said in a statement.

The Ottawa franchise will be led by managing partner Max Damour and managing directors Irina Popova and Greg Campbell.
