Berkshire Hathaway Partners with LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance

The LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance and Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices and Real Living Real Estate recently signed a sponsorship agreement at the highest possible “Champions” level, according to a news release from the LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance.

As a Champion sponsor, Home Services of America CEO Gino Blefari will now participate in a variety of Alliance national events, and Teresa Palacios Smith, Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer at HomeServices of America will serve on The Alliance’s sponsor advisory board.

The LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance was launched in June 2020 by leading members of the real estate industry. RealSure Expands to Atlanta Area

Residential real estate leader Realogy earlier this month announced the company is expanding its RealSure program into the Atlanta-area market.

RealSure Sell launched in 2019 as a cash-offer service that guarantees sellers a sale at a certain price, combined with a standard for-sale listing with an agent. RealSure Buy began as RealSure Mortgage, and offers seller assurance they can close on and move into a home within a timeframe that works for their needs.

Realogy Partners with National Association of Minority Mortgage Bankers of America

Realogy in March also announced a new industry partnership with the National Association of Minority Mortgage Bankers of America (NAMMBA), a purpose-driven organization that’s dedicated to the inclusion of minorities and women in the mortgage industry who are advocates for sustainable homeownership in local communities. 

The partnership is designed to attract and support real estate professionals from diverse communities with impactful careers in real estate. As part of the partnership, CENTURY 21® will bring the brand’s unique training opportunities to NAMMBA members across the industry on topics such as business planning.

Florida RE/MAX Brokerage Adds 125 Agents Through Acquisition

RE/MAX Leading Edge out of St. Augustine, Florida in February purchased Magnolia Properties and acquired its 125 agents and staff members.

Former Magnolia Properties owner Eileen Blocker will join the Leading Edge team as a listing agent. Blocker founded Magnolia more than two decades ago. Molly Butler is the broker-owner of Leading Edge, which now has two offices and 180 agents, a big jump from the 40 agents it had prior to the purchase.
