3 Success Mantras from a Top NYC Real Estate Team<\/h2>\n

The Emily Beare Team at CORE in New York always strives to do better than it did the year before.<\/em> <\/em><\/h6>\n

When the Emily Beare Team realized by March 2018 that it has already surpassed its total number of closings for the prior year, the four-person team could have easily just taken a breather for the remainder of the year. Instead, they plowed ahead and posted $225.59 million in sales volume for the year, giving them a place on 2019’s The Thousand <\/a>list of top real estate teams by transaction volume.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe never rest on our laurels around here,\u201d says Emily Beare, a licensed broker with CORE<\/a> in New York who follows these three success mantras:<\/p>\n

1. Always be transparent and honest.<\/h2>\n

Gaining a client\u2019s trust is key. \u201cI can only sell what I truly believe, and I think that people know that and they trust that,\u201d says Beare, who recently had someone call her about one of her $30 million+ listings. \u201cI was very honest with her, and told her that I didn\u2019t think this particular property was going to be a good fit,\u201d Beare says. After shopping around with different agents, that buyer came back and began working with Beare. \u201cShe said she chose me because I was the first agent who was actually transparent and honest.\u201d<\/p>\n

2. Get face to face.<\/h2>\n

No matter the scope of the deal, always stay in contact and make sure to follow up. \u201cAt times it’s not always easy, but communication<\/a> is really, really important,\u201d says Beare. She prefers face-to-face when possible, with the phone being secondary.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter that, I would resort to email,\u201d says Beare, \u201cknowing that it\u2019s easy for important information\u2014and your overall \u2018tone\u2019\u2014to get lost in translation.\u201d<\/p>\n

3. Don\u2019t just wait for stuff to happen.<\/h2>\n

\u201cMy team is very competitive within itself,\u201d says Beare, who prefers to take a proactive approach to business, versus just waiting around for something to happen. \u201cWe focus on what we’re doing, we look at what we’ve done in the past, and we look ahead to what we want to accomplish in the future,\u201d says Beare, who right now is keeping a close eye on the New York City real estate market in its current state of flux.<\/p>\n

The Emily Beare Team\u2019s reputation for getting things done precedes it in a cutthroat marketplace where multimillion-dollar deals are fairly commonplace. \u201cOther agents say to me all the time, \u2018We\u2019re emulating you in the sense that we realize you have to be out there and do it, market like crazy, and put a lot of extra effort in,\u2019\u201d says Beare. \u201cThis is especially important in a market that\u2019s not that easy right now.\u201d<\/p>\n
