A recent study by <strong>Side<\/strong>, a real estate company that offers white-label services for agent teams, shows just that. The study went on to reveal that agents working on teams had the highest earning potential along with the most job satisfaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.realtrends.com\/blog\/articles\/sides-guy-gal-on-trends-in-the-team-business-model\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Side<\/a> notes that the benefits of joining an agent team include:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A positive team experience,&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A priority placed on team-wide success<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increased income<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>And a focus on customer experience.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The survey results of agents on teams compared to those working alone were clear: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realtrends.com\/blog\/category\/agent\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">agents<\/a> thrive when they are working in a team.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis study reinforced what we at Side have always known to be true: agent teams are the future of real estate,\u201d said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realtrends.com\/blog\/articles\/stephen-capezza-leaves-zillow-for-side\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Michelle Denogean<\/a>, chief marketing officer at Side. \u201cTeams will always outperform solo agents; they\u2019re better able to distribute the workload so each team member can focus on what they do best. Agents receive tremendous value when they join a team, and that value is compounded when they join a company led by a local expert.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-teams-in-2023\">Teams in 2023<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Joining a team could be a saving grace during a down market, especially considering the large percentage of agents who have not experienced the challenges of a market like this one. According to a study by the National Association of Realtors (NAR), 50% of agents working today have been in the business for less than eight years.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While Side exclusively surveyed it\u2019s partner, boutique firms, their findings are supported by the <strong>RealTrends<\/strong> Team Profitability <a href=\"https:\/\/www.housingwire.com\/realtrends-team-profitability-study\/?__hstc=43385018.3580f2db3ddbe8fcf47fa6c91c7501c6.1641567229247.1673453903604.1673462184190.1072&amp;__hssc=43385018.1.1673462184190&amp;__hsfp=2742097478\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">study<\/a> which stated that \u201cWell-run teams are, in fact, highly profitable enterprises.\u201d This survey by RealTrends included over 2,000 of the top-performing real estate teams in the country to verify that brokerages shouldn\u2019t shy away from the team dynamic.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of the teams surveyed by RealTrends, their average gross commission revenue was $3,300,176. The teams had been in operation for an average of 10.9 years, and they operated at an agent-to-employee ratio of 3:1.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we move into 2023 and beyond, it is clear that the most productive and profitable agents will be those on boutique teams.
