{"id":3636,"date":"2022-11-02T22:39:02","date_gmt":"2022-11-02T22:39:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.realtrends.com\/blog\/2022\/11\/02\/pacaso-launches-certification-program-for-agents\/"},"modified":"2025-03-13T02:47:51","modified_gmt":"2025-03-13T02:47:51","slug":"pacaso-launches-certification-program-for-agents","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.realtrends.com\/blog\/2022\/11\/02\/pacaso-launches-certification-program-for-agents\/","title":{"rendered":"Pacaso launches certification program for agents"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Pacaso, <\/strong>a luxury second home co-ownership proptech company, launched its Pacaso Second Home Specialist Certification program on Wednesday to help agents gain expertise in the home co-ownership market, and access benefits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The free program includes five steps, including co-ownership best practices from the Pacaso Agent Playbook, a collection of lessons and tips from agents within the Pacaso network, a live virtual tour of Pacaso homes and submitting a referral.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Marnie Blanco, vice president of industry relations at Pacaso, said the aim of the program is to help agents grow their business in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBy taking a short time to complete our new Second Home Specialist Certification program, agents will have the knowledge they need to discuss co-ownership, as well as create further trust with their clients on home ownership options,\u201d Blanco said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Incentives for agents include a 3% referral commission along with Pacaso equity in the form of 500 restricted stock units on each closed referral and a 1% commission on resales, irrespective of where they\u2019re based or licensed, a release says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon completing the program, agents will also receive a Pacaso Second Home Specialist badge and free enrollment in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pacaso.com\/access\">Pacaso Access<\/a> for agents worth $1,000.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jeff Kennedy, vice president of the independent residential brokerages conglomerate  <strong>Leading Real Estate Companies of the World,<\/strong> said the program is a \u201cmust have\u201d for agents. The company chose Pacaso for its Solutions Group program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWith the uncertainty of the market, successful agents are already creating business plans for next year. The buyers that purchase high-end second homes typically have friends that also buy high-end second homes. If you don\u2019t tell your clients about co-ownership and Pacaso, someone else will,\u201d Kennedy added in the statement.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The certification program follows the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pacaso.com\/profile?view=referrals\">launch<\/a> of the company\u2019s Agent Referral Dashboard, which allows agents to refer potential second home buyers, track the status of their referrals and get updates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pacaso offers \u215b to \u00bd ownership of luxury second homes and manages resales after purchase. The company launched in October 2020 and has paid its agents more than $21 million in total gross commission income, according to the statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In July this year, RE\/MAX <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realtrends.com\/blog\/articles\/re-max-strikes-deal-to-sell-shares-in-pacaso-homes\/\">partnered with<\/a> Pacaso, to allow agents and clients access to its home co-ownership portfolio in 40 destinations. It also published a <a href=\"https:\/\/finledger.com\/articles\/pacaso-data-shows-25-increase-in-luxury-second-home-transactions\/\">report<\/a> the same month that found a 25% increase in transactions in Q2 of 2022 and that luxury second home sales increased by 235% from Q1 of 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In October, Pacaso <a href=\"https:\/\/therealdeal.com\/2022\/10\/13\/pacaso-lays-off-100-workers-over-worries-of-a-pending-recession\/\">laid off<\/a> 100 workers, citing concerns over a global recession.\u00a0The workers were given severance, health care coverage and career help.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pacaso, a luxury second home co-ownership proptech company, launched its Pacaso Second Home Specialist Certification program to help agents.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":39545,"featured_media":4822,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[3255],"tags":[],"coauthors":[2886],"class_list":["post-3636","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-archive"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v25.4 (Yoast SEO v26.8) -
