The amount of home equity is very, very different from the past recession. What are some other takeaways that you can share with our audience from 2008 to today that could help them navigate this market?<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>David Childers:<\/strong> Specifically from 2008, one of the big lessons learned for homeowners is that we&#8217;re gonna do this differently this time. They didn&#8217;t go out and buy the jet ski and go on vacation and do whatever they wanted to do and think, &#8220;This will never end.&#8221; The other lesson that the mortgage market and the financial markets learned is we&#8217;re not going to go and make all these exotic loan products available to customers. What we know about the last couple of years is that home prices have appreciated dramatically.
