RE\/MAX, a franchisor of real estate brokerage services, on Friday announced the promotion of Shawna Gilbert to senior vice president of global development at the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In her new role, Gilbert will lead the team that supports RE\/MAX’s affiliates in the U.S. and Canada and its global region owners, in their business-building strategies with RE\/MAX. She will continue to report to Mike Reagan, RE\/MAX\u2019s SVP of industry relations and global growth & development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Region owners across the globe have tremendous respect for Shawna and the entire Global Development team as they continue to deliver innovations, training and education to build sustainable regions around the world,” Reagan said in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gilbert will also supervise RE\/MAX Commercial, which comprises 11,000 brokers spanning across more than 80 countries and territories. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“There’s a real sense of community among the nearly 60,000 global region owners, broker\/owners and sales associates outside the U.S. and Canada,\u201d she said in the release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prior to the new role, Gilbert began as a region development consultant at the company in 2010 and later went on to become the vice president of global development in 2017. She has supervised expansion operations in Canada, Asia, Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before RE\/MAX, Gilbert served<\/a> as the vice president of Innovest Portfolio Solutions and the director of Seeds of Hope. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The franchisor has 140,000 agents in approximately 9,000 offices in more than 110 countries and regions, according to a statement from the company. In 2021, RE\/MAX Commercial network brokers closed above 50,000 commercial transactions, totaling $19 billion in commercial volume.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
