The agents then bid money to sell the home. Homeowners, upon their assessment of their bid and other factors, choose an agent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bids comprise cash upfront, commission and listing term, the company said. It also has a description of what makes the agent a suitable candidate to sell a particular home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>BidMyListing co-founder Matt Proman in a statement said the company has generated more than 2,000 home listings from owners seeking real estate agents who represented more than $500 million worth of properties.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Homeowners expect cash upfront from their chosen agent, \u201cwhile agents are relieved to finally have the opportunity to buy predictable listing inventory instead of using an unpredictable spend to acquire leads,\u201d Proman added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some brokers have already expressed skepticism about the company\u2019s model.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t see any benefit for the agent,\u201d Oleg Bortman, co-founder and broker at <strong>The Brokery<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/southfloridaagentmagazine.com\/2022\/08\/03\/bidmylisting-josh-altman-million-dollar-listing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">told<\/a> South Florida Agent magazine. \u201cThe agent is just paying for a lead at a high price, not knowing how much the seller is willing to pay them for their service.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The BidMyListing team includes celebrity agents Josh and Matt Altman, best known for their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bravotv.com\/million-dollar-listing-los-angeles\">roles<\/a> on Bravo TV\u2019s \u201cMillion Dollar Listing Los Angeles.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs we continue to see BidMyListing\u2019s early adoption in the marketplace, we are proving what we knew all along &#8211; that this marketplace model truly helps both the homeowner and agent,\u201d Josh Altman, a co-founder said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>John Nicholas, former CTO of <strong>Carrington Retail Group<\/strong> and SVP of Product at <strong>Auction.com\/Ten-X<\/strong>, is the company&#8217;s CEO. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BidMyListing, a real estate platform that connects home sellers to real estate agents who bid on the opportunity to sell their homes, closed a $15 million investment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":39545,"featured_media":4822,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[3255],"tags":[],"coauthors":[2886],"class_list":["post-3547","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-archive"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v25.4 (Yoast SEO v26.8) -
