In that time, his career has taken him all over North America, from Toronto and Vancouver in Canada, to California and finally Minnesota in the U.S.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cJohn encourages other MLSs to control their destiny when it comes to their data. He helped show the way that if you could develop that piece on your own, it put you into a much stronger position to do some of the things you need for your brokerage community,\u201d Art Carter, the CEO of the California Regional MLS, said in a statement. \u201cOne of the things I admire about John is that if he agrees with you, he\u2019ll tell you; and if he disagrees with you, you\u2019ll hear that, too. He is always the consummate professional.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to joining NorthstarMLS, Mosey began his career at <strong>Moore Data<\/strong>, where he ran multiple business units, the firm\u2019s Canadian operation and eventually became vice president of sales for North America. In addition, Mosey was responsible for the <strong>MLS Book, Tax and Homes Magazine<\/strong> units at Moore Data. In 1998, Mosey assumed leadership and direction of Moore Data\u2019s newly launch real estate website, <strong>Cyberhomes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mosey left Moore Data to lead a showings technology start-up before joining NorthstarMLS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to being the CEO of NorthstarMLS, Mosey is a multi-year board member of the <strong>Council of Multiple Listing Services<\/strong>. He also serves on the boards of <strong>The MLS Grid<\/strong>, the <strong>Broker Public Portal<\/strong> (BPP) and was on the industry-controlled board of directors of the joint venture that oversees <strong>Homesnap<\/strong>\u2019s delivery of the BPP\u2019s value proposition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2015, Mosey developed the concept for <strong>Common Data Platform<\/strong> (CDP), a shared database and listing input system that any of the major front-end MLS tech vendors can plug into.
