George C. Blanchard and Francis A. Calhoun founded the real estate company in 1919 \u2013 the same year Prohibition began, the Treaty of Versailles was signed to end World War I, and Augusta\u2019s first paved four-lane highway opened.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-55750 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.realtrends.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2021\/01\/Blanchard-and-Calhoun-Logo.png\" alt=\"blanchard and calhoun\" width=\"221\" height=\"143\"><\/p>\n<p>Over the past century, the firm has grown to more than 250 agents and employees, developed more than two dozen neighborhoods that have changed the landscape of the community, and assisted countless families and businesses achieve their goals.&nbsp;<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are honored and humbled to have been a part of this community for the past 100 years,\u201d said Thomas Blanchard, III, president of Blanchard and Calhoun, great-grandson of founder George Blanchard, and the fourth member of the family to serve as the company\u2019s leader. \u201cThis milestone is a natural opportunity to reflect on and celebrate how our company \u2013 and our community \u2013 has grown and improved over the years.\u201d Blanchard unveiled the project to the firm\u2019s employees and agents at a staff meeting at the Miller Theater in December, thanking the many individuals who have worked to ensure the company\u2019s success and longevity.&nbsp;&nbsp;<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/_HorsrerK20\" width=\"800\" height=\"515\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;ve long admired the Blanchard and Calhoun family of businesses. I had the pleasure of working with Blanchard and Calhoun Real Estate Company and can say firsthand that they are a first class business who put the needs of their clients first.
