Windermere Real Estate Partners With Katie Lance To Help Agents “Get Social Smart”

 OB Jacobi, president of Windermere Real Estate, has announced a new partnership with nationally-recognized social media strategist, Katie Lance, CEO of Katie Lance Consulting, to help Windermere agents master social media via Lance’s #GetSocialSmart Academy.

The #GetSocialSmart Academy is a resource-rich program that helps real estate professionals learn how to build and sustain client relationships utilizing social media. Through this new partnership, Lance will provide Windermere members with access to a customized portal that features training videos, live webinars, course materials, and a 24/7 online on-demand library. Lance will also offer exclusive webinars and in-person classes via Windermere’s Professional Development department and at company events. 

“There is nobody who understands the value and application of social media within real estate as well as Katie Lance,” said Jacobi. “In an industry that is increasingly reliant upon social media as a means to build client relationships, the #GetSocialSmart program teaches agents how to develop a long-term strategy that helps them capture repeat and referral business.” 

Jacobi added that Millennials now represent 35 percent of all home buyers and that this generation’s reliance upon tools, such as Facebook and Instagram, to communicate has increased the importance of being social media savvy. “Most agents are using social media today, but how many of them are using it effectively to build their business?” said Jacobi. “With Katie’s help, that’s what we hope to teach our agents.”  

Lance, who is the former chief strategist and social media director for Inman News, has more than 15 years of experience in real estate marketing. She says that the partnership with Windermere is the first of its kind since launching her #GetSocialSmart Academy last year.
