NAR Launching New Top Level Domain .realestate

NAR Members Given Top Level Domain Exclusivity

The National Association of Realtors has announced that it will be launching the .realestate top level domain extension for its network members. The expansion of the domain will be official on September 18th @ 11:00 A.M. EST as NAR makes the domains available to its members while the general public must wait until November 26 @ 7:00 P.M. EST.

Rights to the domain extension were won by The National Association of Realtors back in 2014 with the plan to make real estate information more accessible and trusted across the internet. NAR members will now have tools and domains available to help brand themselves in a way that has never been done before.

The execution of top level domain structure similar to .realestate has been adopted by many different industries over several years in order to provide a more dedicated experience for web visitors and also increase marketing potential. While all domain extensions are not readily available to all across the internet, the general public can still access certain domain extensions (.me, .co, .ai, .org, .net) in order to differentiate themselves across the web. Below are a few examples of different domain extensions that have been implemented in a similar capacity to .realestate:

The impact of the domain extension will be dramatic as individuals across the industry will have the unique opportunity to position themselves with a brand new set of top level domains to strengthen their web presence. This in turn makes the .realestate domain name potentially more inclusive across the internet and the entire real estate industry.
