Colorado Real Estate Agent Celebrates Small Town With Fun Video

SONG/ MUSIC VIDEO COMMISSIONED BY LOCAL REAL ESTATE AGENT CELEBRATES SMALL COLORADO TOWN.

Two Rivers’ song honors the residents of Lyons, Colorado.

What a great idea!

Local Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage affiliated real estate agent, Laura Levy, celebrates the special town of Lyons with the recently released music video and song, “Two Rivers,” which she commissioned as an anthem for the small vibrant community in Boulder County.

The professionally produced song and video is a tribute to the people of Lyons, who provide a welcoming and caring community. Levy commissioned numerous local musicians to write and perform the song. Local residents and a professional film crew were recruited to provide the talent and production of the music video. The song is named ‘Two Rivers’ as a nod to the North and South St. Vrain Rivers that converge in the heart of downtown Lyons.

The lyrics and musical stylings of the song capture the inviting spirit and earthy nature of the community, which is known for outdoor enthusiasts, artists and bluegrass music. The music video follows a young girl as she moves to Lyons and discovers the ease of life in the small community. The sampling of the locally inspired lyrics read, “Tiny homes, the labyrinth. Rave with your neighbors on a Halloween night. Bluegrass picks and promised vows. Stars on the Planet always shining bright.”

“The town of Lyons is a very special place that is drenched in natural beauty and fully embraces anyone that visits,” said Levy. “I’ve been blessed to serve the people of Lyons and wanted to find a way to pay tribute to a place that has fulfilled the lives of so many people, myself included. A musical town deserves its own song and music video. I believe the lyrics of the song and visuals of the music video are a wonderful way to highlight all of the little things that make Lyons, uniquely special.”

The small town of Lyons, which sits outside of Boulder, is home to about 2,000 full-time residences and is sometimes referred to as ‘The Double Gateway to the Rockies” due to its location on the road leading to Rocky Mountain National Park. The town is known for its tight-knit community, Planet Bluegrass world-class music festivals, beautiful parks, two stunning rivers, kayaking, hiking, and other outdoor activities.

The first building constructed when the town was founded in 1861 was the town schoolhouse, which now houses the town museum, The Lyons Redstone Museum, which is prominently featured in the music video. The local matriarch, LaVern Johnson, 92, who runs the museum and has a park named after her in the town, is also featured in the video.

The project to create the song and video took about six months and featured a bounty of community members. The song was written by local songwriting team Arthur Lee Land and Carol Lee and features Lee Land and Monica Marie on vocals along with an all-star local chorus as back-up singers. The song was unveiled online on the first day of the town’s 28th annual Rocky Mountain Folks Festival. The music video was created by a top-notch film team lead by Ryan DeCesari with Ascent Multimedia, including director, videographer, art director, and locally-sourced Colorado actors. It featured dozens of residents as extras.

“Real estate is much more than selling houses, it’s about connecting with the people you serve and adding to the cloth of the community in a meaningful way,” said Chris Mygatt, president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Colorado.

“Laura has consistently provided her clients with superior care, support and out of the box creativity. She is well-known for taking marketing to new creative heights. The ‘Two Rivers’ song and video have certainly elevated her commitment to the local community and solidified her unique ability to tell a compelling story not just about a home, but about her community.”
