ERA Real Estate, a global franchising leader, today announced that a real estate leader in the Tri-State region serving Maryland, Virginia and Washington D.C., formerly RE/Max 2000, has joined ERA Real Estate. Established in 1989, the firm will now operate as ERA Realty Group.

Through this affiliation the ERA® brand can extend its reach as an innovation leader by providing new technology and resources to more than 55 ERA Realty Group agents and its two offices in Silver Spring and Rockville, MD.

For Jim Thomas, Owner of ERA Realty Group, technology has always played a large role in his career. With a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and a master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Thomas worked for NASA and later implemented submarine missile test programs in the Navy. Shortly after, he transitioned into real estate and utilized his technology background, which has reinforced his business for nearly 45 years.
