RE/MAX announces new chief information officer

Grady Ligon to join RE/MAX C-Suite

RE/MAX Holdings Inc. is furthering its commitment to technology with its newest hire. Grady Ligon is the latest member of RE/MAX’s C-Suite, being named the firm’s chief information officer, according to an announcement on Monday.

As CIO, Ligon will lead the technology and data strategy for the company and its franchise brands, RE/MAX and Motto Mortgage. In addition, he will oversee the product, engineering, technology security and compliance, and data functions, as well as lead the rollout of MAX/Tech powered by kvCORE, the all-new tech platform for the RE/MAX network, which is scheduled for 2023.

Ligon has more than 20 years of experience in technology and data leadership. Most recently he has served as CIO for Fathom Realty and IntelliAgent, LLC, after serving as CIO at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices for six years, and at Prudential Real Estate Services and Prudential Real Estate & Relocation.

“I’m excited to help develop a comprehensive tech strategy closely aligned with our business strategy across these leading brands,” Ligon said in a statement. “There’s a lot to like about the foundation already in place, and I believe we can build an even greater technology edge with even more value for all stakeholders.”

Prior to entering the brokerage world, Ligon served as vice president, investment bank technology at JPMorgan Chase and owned an independent consulting operation focused on digital and cloud transformations called Safis Digital.

“His vast experience and track record make him the ideal leader to continue the technology evolution happening within our brands,” Steve Joyce, the CEO of RE/MAX Holdings, said of Ligon.

Ligon’s hire comes at a time when RE/MAX is reinvesting in the tech offerings it provides agents. Earlier this year RE/MAX began providing agents with access to the AI-powered kvCORE platform after shutting down booj, its proprietary platform at the start of the year.
