McNair Group rejoins Coldwell Banker from Compass

The five-member team from Northern California led by Billy McNair, closed around $323 million in sales in 2021

McNair Group, a residential real estate team formerly affiliated with Compass for four years, rejoined Coldwell Banker Realty’s Northern California unit.

The five-member team, led by Billy McNair, focuses on Menlo Park, Woodside, Portola Valley, Palo Alto, Los Altos, Redwood City and Atherton.

The group has been featured in RealTrends + Tom Ferry The Thousand and America’s Best rankings for several years. In 2019, McNair ranked 237 in individuals by transaction volume in The Thousand rankings, with a sales volume of almost $80 million.

The other members of the team include listing director Jessica Olson, sales associate Andrea Schultz, operations assistant Camden Hutchings and head of marketing Kim McNair.

“Coldwell Banker continues to be the North Star of the real estate industry in guiding agents and consumers home, especially through times of change and progress,” he said in a prepared statement. “That is why we are excited to partner our business with Coldwell Banker Realty, who we know will support our team in providing the highest-level of care our clients have come to expect.”

McNair is also a licensed attorney in California with an MBA degree from Santa Clara University, which, according to the statement, lets him help clients navigate complex real estate transactions.

McNair is a founding member of two venture-backed technology companies in Silicon Valley and raised over $50M in venture capital funds for the companies.

“Billy and his team provide the top-notch service and local market expertise to their clients,” Lind said in the statement. “We are thrilled to welcome Billy back to Coldwell Banker, where together we will continue to elevate the real estate offerings for the Silicon Valley and beyond.”

This year in January, the Khrista Jarvis Team, which ranked 5th nationally in the medium-sized team by volume category in the 2021 RealTrends The Thousand and was formerly affiliated with Compass, affiliated with Coldwell Banker Realty in Northern California.

In September, Compass announced another round of layoffs following its decision to lay off approximately 450 positions.

This month, Ryan Gorman stepped down as Coldwell Banker CEO and Sue Yannaccone, president and CEO of Anywhere Brands leading the Anywhere portfolio of brands like Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, CENTURY 21, Corcoran, ERA, and Sotheby’s International Realty, had her role expanded to also oversee the Coldwell Banker brand.
