Many brokers focus on recruiting agents and growing agent count as a means of growing their company. An equally valid way to grow your business is to increase the average productivity of your agents. Based on RealTrends rankings data, there are a handful of leaders who found success with this method over the past 10 years.
That’s why RealTrends invited Smokey Garrett, operating partner of Keller Williams The GO Network, to the RealTrends Gathering of Eagles June 26-29 to discuss how he was able to consistently maintain a highly productive office.
Smokey Garrett has been in the real estate business since 1995 and joined Keller Williams in 2000. He went from Rookie of the Year to building a successful real estate team to joining Keller Williams where he quickly realized the company had the model, support and tools he needed to become successful and to help others to succeed. These models and tools helped Smokey build a 13-person team selling 200 homes a year and allowed him to step out of his business to move onto new opportunities in leadership.
In 2006, Smokey served as the Team Leader for the Arlington Market Center, entering in the Team Leader Hall of Fame. He is now the Operating Partner of that office which he grew from 60 agents to 650 agents.
He is now the operating partner of fourteen different offices, jointly referred to as The GO Network. GO Network has been named the No. 1 Largest Brokerage in Texas by closed transaction sides by the RealTrends 500 brokerage rankings.
GO Network has over 4,500 agents in fourteen offices across Texas, New Mexico, and Tennessee. Smokey is also a Regional Owner for multiple regions in the Keller Williams Realty system.
Smokey says that his biggest professional accomplishments come from teaching and helping others to achieve their goals while developing great leaders. Smokey has been married for over 20 years and has two kids, Katie and Colton.
At the conference, Smokey will talk about how his brokerage maintains high productivity, as well as the systems and practices that fuel his success..
