How to Make Money Fast

"I'm in a hole financially! What can I do?"

The biggest question I get as a coach is the one above. So many of you need income now but have little time to do the things necessary to start or re-start your business. You know, things like setting goals; creating a dream board and great affirmations to review each day; role playing your scripts; devising wonderful business systems to handle your leads, listings, pendings, past clients; hiring the best coach and getting the best education to grow; starting a mastermind group; mastering an area you can begin to build a clientele in; hiring assistants and building a team, and so on.

Here's how to get income fast. It won't be easy but the pay offer is great:

  1. Plan to work 12 or more hours a day, 6-7 days a week until your income is stable.
  2. Call every person you know and ask for any type of real estate lead (buyer, seller, renter, investor). Ask for permission to call this person every month and call those who say OK. Follow up with free email thank you notes.
  3. Spend at least 50 percent of each day generating and following up on leads, 10 percent on administration and the other 40 percent going on appointments and previewing property.
  4. Work with anyone that wants to buy, rent, or sell. This is not the time to be picky.
  5. DON'T spend any money on buying leads or running ads.
  6. DO put free ads everywhere and follow up immediately on any leads from it. Note: IMMEDIATELY.
  7. Call every single expired listing and FSBO in your market area [Be mindful of the Do Not Call List] and get an appointment with them. If you meet with 5 of these each day, you will get listings.
  8. Sit floor duty, open house (with only signs and free ads, don't spend money on ads) and any other free area you can meet potential buyers and sellers.
  9. Wear your name tag everywhere you go and have a commitment to give out a dozen business cards every single day without fail.
  10. Look sharp, keep your car looking sharp, keep a giant smile on your face and do what it takes to be called "Pollyanna."

While those tips may not create a sustainable business, they will get you through a rough spot. What you must do as soon as you have stable income is make the time to do the items in the first paragraph.

    When business gets tough many give up. There are people selling and buying real estate out there. You gave excellant advise to those who want to make money in today's enconomy. It's out there. Just take Donna's advise and go do it.
